About the Course/ What is NID- B.DES?

Our NID B. Des (Bachelor of Design) introduces the context and academic structure of the design curriculum to orient students toward the multidisciplinary nature of design. Provides an enhanced environment for thinking and learning. Ensures a fundamental and common approach for the design industry in consonance and requirements of the industry. Provides uniform knowledge and skill competencies generic of design.

DAT (Design Aptitude Test) Prelims:

Part I: This part has Multiple-choice questions with one or more than one correct answer. The responses of this part will be recorded on an OMR sheet and evaluated digitally.

Part II: Subjective questions marked out of 30 points, with responses to be provided in visual and/or written formats.

DAT Mains:

The DAT Mains for these programmes may consist of tests in different formats such as drawing/sketching, hands-on model making, group discussions, presentations etc. These will be marked out of 100 points and will be conducted in English.

Eligibility: Applications for academic year 2017–18 are open to applicants who have passed or will appear for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2016–17 from any recognised board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or their equivalent.

Maximum Age: Candidates upto 20 years of age on or before 30 June of the year in which exam is conducted are eligible to apply (relaxable by three years for candidates belonging to reserved category).

NID entrance Long term preparatory weekend course (for IX / X students) Specially designed to help students interested in design, fashion & creative courses, at early stages of their schooling, to gain in-depth, slow paced & extensive knowledge throughout a span of 3/4years. This course will make students all entrance exams ready in the design industry, while continuously nurturing their creative abilities in the able guidance of core faculty members. We keep in mind the hectic schedules of students. Classroom sessions cover everything, so students have to devote approximately half an hour only everyday for homework and their school studies are not at all hampered or anyway affected
NID entrance Regular term preparatory weekend/ weekdays course (for XI / XII/ XII Passed students) Specially designed to help these students interested in design, fashion & creative courses, to gain in-depth, fast paced & extensive knowledge throughout a span of 1 / 2 years. This course will make students all entrance exams ready in the design industry, while continuously nurturing their Creative & General abilities in the able guidance of core faculty members. We keep in mind the hectic schedules of students. Classroom sessions cover everything, so students have to devote approximately half an hour only everyday for homework and their school studies are not at all hampered or anyway affected
